| Audemars Piguet Millenary Baguette-Cut Diamonds Collection | Jul 02, 2008 |
The Audemars Piguet Millenary baguette-cut diamonds collection unveils outstanding watch models created for him and her. The timepieces reveal the Millenary signature oval case presented in radiant clothing, having incorporated a mechanical self-winding movement. The collection is based on a harmonious balance between jewelery and watchmaking.
The art of gem-setting is one of the most sophisticated tasks of a jeweler who has to discover the best way to reveal the qualities of the gem. Audemars Piguet jewelers wanted the timepieces from the Millenary baguette-cut diamonds collection to produce the impression they are literally carved in diamond.
The master-jewelers of the brand select the colorless diamonds of the purest quality. The lapidaries craft the baguette cut in order to achieve the proportions to come up with a perfect light reflection and brilliance. Having finished the polishing, the specialists make sure that the stones have no stripes or streaks.
Invisible setting completely releases the gem from the metal. The diamonds are positioned side by side, without a slightest trace of the metal showing through. The gemstones are subjected to thorough preparation. First of all, the master jewelers hollow two grooves in the lower part of the stone, that is also called the lower girdle facet. The grooves are required for pressing the stone into the recess. The stone is positioned right up against its neighbor with no tiniest glimmer of gold visible to the viewer.
The most experienced artisans and specialists of Audemars Piguet used their know-how to create the invisible-set pave motif on the watch's dial. The surface no thicker than 1.2 mm is highlighted by 149 stones (for the ladies' model) and 166 stones (for the men's model).
The harmonious union of the differently sized mother-of-pearl zone and diamond-set zone improves the dynamic appearance of the dial, featuring an off-centered effect. The dial of the ladies' model reveals the row of diamonds that narrows to the center. The exquisitely fine dial of the men's watch is adorned with larger stones.
The design of the dial requires each gem to correspond to a specific dimension and be cut to size. The master jewelers cut the gems to within 1/100th of a millimeter while applying state-of-the-art technologies. The preparation of the stones for a single dial takes a whole month.
The invisible gem-setting technique is also showcased by the case-band, an outstanding jewelry feat. Audemars Piguet specialists have applied their best skills to elaborate and patent an exclusive cut that follows the curving shape of the flanks. The table of the diamonds is a little convex. The brand's specialists cut and polished initially large stones to create a slightly rounded surface. They came up with an invisible setting, clinging firmly to the curve of the case-band.

| Pierre Kunz - Remarkable Story of Success | Nov 19, 2007 |
The story of Pierre Kunz is one of the most exciting ones in the watchmaking industry. During his brilliant career, Kunz worked as a watchmaker with the Franck Muller Group. The watchmaker's ideas and designs were so highly appreciated that Franck Muller and Vartan Sirmakes inspired him for establishing his own watchmaking company within the Franck Muller Group.
This year Pierre Kunz is going to hold a show at Watchland in Genthod, Switzerland. The watchmaker intends to show three new timepieces, all provided with retrograde function, the signature feature of Kunz creations.
According to Stefan Kunz, Vice President of Pierre Kunz, retrograde is a major key to Pierre Kunz watches. Right now the watchmaker is looking for alternative ways to come up with something special for the horology field. Meanwhile, exclusively designed watches with retrograde functions are the visit cards of the Pierre Kunz brand.
For the watches to be introduced this year, Pierre Kunz has opened up their dials to display parts of the inside mechanisms.

The first of the three timepieces is originally called the Tahiti Moon. The Pierre Kunz watch sports Tahitian mother-of-pearl that surrounds the moon phase indication. The timepiece reveals an open dial and hour and minute retrogrades. The Tahiti Moon is crafted in white gold, red gold, platinum and steel. The steel version of the watch applies a different dial treatment that makes it different from the precious metals.
The next Pierre Kunz timepiece is called the Second Time Zone. The watch incorporates a GMT retrograde hour hand, big date display with a special opening at the bottom of the dial to display the date wheels, as well as a day-night indicator for the second time zone. The Second Time Zone watch offers the choice between two case sizes - it is available in 41 mm and 44 mm sizes, either in gold or platinum.
The Tourbillon Art-Deco is last timepiece to enter Pierre Kunz 2007 watch collection to be presented this year. It is developed as a square-shaped tourbillon that was more complicated and more difficult to create.
Having turned 5 years old this year, the Pierre Kunz brand is really optimistic about the future.

| So Many Shoes and Just One Wedding... | Jul 04, 2007 |

What kind of bridal shoes to choose? First of all you should remember that bridal shoes have to be not just beautiful but comfortable because a bride has to spend the whole day on her feet. They can be without heels or high-heeled, colorful or with trimming, but what is very important they have to make a good match with a wedding gown.
Purchasing
Start looking for the appropriate pair of bridal shoes immediately after you order your dress because you should have your shoes to finally define the length of the dress while trying-on.
It would be great to have a pattern of material your wedding dress is sewn of not to be mistaken with the color or texture of shoes. For instance keep in mind that with satin dress shoes made of matte silk look the best but not those also made of satin.
But don't forget to pay attention to their comfortability, to season and the place your wedding will take place.
Wedding shoes can be made of fabric (satin, silk or velvet), leather, patent-leather shoes or suede ones. They can be decorated with beads, pearl or spangles. You can even decorate them with the help of rhinestones, applique work, fur.
Size
After many hours of walking, dancing and posing a bride's legs can get tired and even ache. In order to avoid it choose the best appropriate to you heel length and buy shoes half-size bigger than your usual size.
Wear them at home before wedding. Also remember that high heels together with high hairdo and veil can influence upon your height and you may seem taller than your groom.
Models
Refined classic is in fashion. Open-toe sandals with straps are great for summer wedding. But if your wedding takes place when it's cold knee-length boots will look great with short dress. And of course ballet-like shoes will look cute with very simple dress.
We wish you a happy wedding! Don't forget to smile and enjoy this special day of your life!
| Jewelry Pills for Wedding: Swallowing a Gold Pill – Modern Declaration of Love | Jun 19, 2007 |

For those who are consumed with love and passion simple “I Love You”is usually not enough – strong feelings always induce you to make something crazy and eccentric. A London designer Ted Noten thought namely about it when he created his “wedding pills”. He offered couples with unordinary thinking to substitute wedding rings for gold pills that should be swallowed. It is very romantic: a bride and a groom want to prove their love by expressing it in something precious and by swallowing it make a part of yourself!
Namely such an idea lies in the basis of wedding pills invented by Ted Noten who is known by his unusual jewelry pieces and inventions. It seems that this invention of him is the most out of the ordinary one.
“Pills” look as real ones with the exception that they are fully covered with gold. Probably the swallowing of pills during wedding ceremony will look very unusual and many people will be shocked but it can become a very symbolic and original ritual. But you know a very logic question appears: if wedding pills symbolize eternity of a family union, won't such relationship be finished when swallowed by natural way will later come out of your organism? – this will happen for sure! Namely here everything romantic of the Noten invention looses its fairy-tale aura.
But it doesn't mean that you shouldn't accept such an unusual ritual the designer offers. It is just not worth substituting traditional wedding rings for pills. As for me I think wedding rings is the best option. Classics forever! Moreover traditional wedding rings will unite you for a much longer period of time. Of course tastes differ and you may like the idea of swallowing gold wedding pills. But to tell you the truth the continuation of the process makes me lose all romantic feelings and makes me dislike the idea.
But every couple should discuss the matter together and make the decision that will satisfy both of them.

| How to Define a ring size? Advice and ideas for Men | May 15, 2007 |
One of the most important moments that precedes you wedding is engagement that is the day when a man asks his woman to marry him. This post is for men only! Do you want to surprise your darling or just make her proposal in a romantic way? But are you afraid that the ring will not be appropriate in size?
We will help you to rightly choose the size of ring and make your proposal unforgettable and amazing. So there are several ways to find out the exact band size of your beloved one.
You've stole my heart and I've stolen your ... band
The most reliable way to find out the size of her ring is to become a criminal for a day and secretly take one of your girl friend favorite rings. Then go with it to the closest jewelry store. You will certainly find help there: a jeweler will help you easily and precisely define the size of the ring and you will have only not to forget it.
Bands and rings
Do not like the idea to feel a ring thief? then you can act simpler: take a ring, a piece of paper and a pen and circle the ring around its inner contour. By this contour the jeweler can define the size of ring and choose a band for you.
Why do you need friends for?
The best friends of your girl friend can help you to find out her ring size. But it is better to be certain that the girl you choose for secret mission will be able to keep secret. Otherwise everything will be spoiled.
And finally...try the ring on.
If all above mentioned ways aren't appropriate for you then only try-on remains. Take her ring and put it on your finger. Mark the place by a pen or just remember it. Then you will have to ask jeweler to define the size. there is one more idea: just try on rings on that finger.
We wish you happy wedding and eternal love!
| Art of Making a Woman Happy | Feb 26, 2007 |
What does a timepiece mean for a lady? It is first of all a piece of decoration. Of course, a woman isn't going to be late just because she is paying more attention to the diamond embellishing her watch, than to the minute hands!
I am almost sure she will try to come earlier to show her new accessory to her friends and relatives. She'll do it as if by accident, like only a woman can do. However, to get to this point you need to think over the details, to look around, to take your time.
Criteria of choice
While choosing a jewelry watch as a wedding gift I was following several simple statements: first of all, the timepiece shouldn't be mechanical. Women hate to adjust and wind watches. A mechanical timepiece is always bigger than a quartz one. This is another serious disadvantage. Woman might like the watch in general, that is its design, color combination and the way precious stones are arranged. However, the thickness of the dial can be unacceptable for her.
On the other hand, a quartz movement guarantees higher precision than a mechanical timepiece. That's why I have fixed upon the Movado watch called Ono. This watch is created specially for women. Every little detail of the Ono watch is an evidence of refined elegance.
Restrained luxury
The best characteristics of the Ono watch is a word combination: 'Restrained luxury'. The gold plated stainless steel case implies shining perfection a woman could appreciate only by wearing the Ono watch. The wife of my friend said that the best mirror is not the one in your bedroom, yet the eyes of the people passing you by or talking to you.
The gold plated Ono bracelet is the logical continuation of its case. The Ono bracelet is a stylized gold chain. The rings of this sparkling chain contain a diamond attached to the inner side of the ring. Each following ring has got the diamond attached to the opposite side.
The Swiss quartz movement of the Ono timepiece is a solid guarantee of the high precision and reliability of the time measurement.
Museum dial
The black museum dial of the Ono timepiece deserves a separate story to be told. It looks like a black hole absorbing light. The black is the best symbol of the time ever invented by the mankind, in my humble opinion. The only round gold marking characteristic for all the Movado watches is in perfect contrast with the color of the dial. This brand marking of the Movado Company is always located at twelve o'clock position on the dial.
The Movado Company is well-known as a source of new constructive ideas in the field of horology. What's more, it has always been distinguished by the artistic approach to design and decoration. Movado cooperated with such outstanding designers and artists as Andy Warhol and James Rosenquist for creating limited elite watch collections.
One way or another the Movado Ono is a perfect timepiece to emphasize elegance and refinement of a woman, stress her subtle creativity and bring feeling of novelty into her life. None of the women I know were disappointed by this choice.
| Gorgeous Mikimoto Jewels - The Best Option for a Bride | Jan 22, 2007 |
Pearl is one of the most popular subjects of the present day fashion trends. It is the most popular adornment. There are a great number of pearl in fashion of today: ideal round, drop-shaped and a lot of others of unusual shapes. The same can be said about pearl's tints.
Pearl is combined with different materials - from platinum and gold to silver, transparent silk rubbers and very coarse laces. But in that pearl experimenting they forget about classic white pearl while white pearl of natural even shapes is the best for brides' jewellery pieces.
There is a jewellery house that remains devoted to it. I am speaking about Mikimoto jewellery house for which pearl is the principal and historically important material.
And now we have a new classic collection from Mikimoto that can be the best option for brides. It is called Ice Pearls.
The center of the collection is ideal white pearl of big round shapes: the diameter of a pearl starts from 1 cm. These are collection jewellery pieces that can become family jewels with time.
A necklace made of white gold is considered to be central jewellery piece of the Ice Pearls collection.
White diamonds in a classic oval shape are gathered into small flowers-quatrefoils.
From diamond flowers a precious wreath is gathered, moreover it has big even white pearls.
There is a diamond bouquet with a big white pearl at the bottom of the necklace. Pendants in Ice Pearls are made by similar structure - it is a chain with a pearl-pendant (white gold, white diamonds and white pearl). A chain can be very thin, weightless and classic or vice versa very thick.
The chain's length in Ice Pearles is also different - as a bride wants.
Actually the length choice is not occasional but a special principle. Being an absolutely classic, balanced and quiet many of Mikimoto jewels can be worn not just for a special occasion but everyday. It is especially true about Mikimoto jewels-transformers. They are also great to go to the theater or a restaurant. This way a bride will have a great possibility to wear her wedding jewels after the day of her wedding.
Rings from Ice Pearles collection look very alike at first sight - it happens due to their structure. There is a pearl with diamonds around it and rings are made of white gold. But rings are rather different in style. There are very laconic pieces reminding of famous Milano from Mikimoto. But there are almost ampire items.
I am sure that a bride who will choose some Mikimoto jewels will look as a real Queen. These jewels are very romantic and gorgeous at the same time. To tell you the truth I've never seen something more beautiful. And you know I would agree to get married one more time just because of these amazingly beautiful jewels.
| A Real Wedding Gift | Jan 19, 2007 |
Something for a couple: When I think of a jewelry wedding gift it is always one and the same problem that I face. One way or another, any gift of this kind is more often addressed to a woman, rarely to a man. So, it is almost unbelievable to pick up a gift for both. This situation seems to be unfair to me, that's why I decided to find something suitable for a couple.
Two persons are a unity:: I think it is very important to regard two persons on the eve of their marriage or engagement as a unity. The very essence of the wedding denotes it. The reason why I came to this conclusion is rather simple. When we mean two people going to get married, there is a sort of unification there, or at least its final part. Because the main part of the process remains secret to social community, despite the fact that two persons' relations seem to be quite open to a stranger's attention. Therefore, the marriage itself is considered to be a sacrament. If you are a religious person, it can be a sacrament before God, or if you are not - a supernatural mystery.
Secret unification:: Even from the linguistic point of view it is a secret unification, 'a marriage of painting and poetry' as J. T. Shawcross wrote. That's why I think it is extremely important to have a wedding gift for the couple. Even if it's not jewelry or a diamond ring, it can be a marvelous souvenir for the both.
It is affordable:: It took me some time to find an appropriate one and here's the result. Of course, it is a gift for young people for they might be experiencing some financial embarrassment from time to time, that's clear.
An Irish tradition:: I have found a great Irish tradition to present each other with a watch before a wedding ceremony. It seemed to be interesting to me and that's what I discovered about it.
A watch was traditionally a secret marriage gift between partners in Ireland and, as a matter of fact, I see no reason why this should not be so everywhere.
Mythology:: Each watch has got its own name. The name for the man's timepiece is Mandred and for the ladies one - Boann. These names weren't invented spontaneously. There is a great mythological background.
Here are some watch specifications that might be helpful for you in evaluating it.
Mandred:: Men's silver-plated bracelet watch. Plating was made in two tones, shiny and matt. Top quality Japanese quartz movement with a calendar. Case diameter of Mandred watch is 35mm. Mandred watch has got a Trinity symbol depicted in the centre of its dial.
Boann:: Ladies watch of the similar design also featuring two toned plating and high quality movement. The diameter of the Boann watch case is 29 mm.
Dustproof property is a very important feature keeping your timepiece as well as your relations clean. The Boann watch is nickel free. It also features stainless steel back. Its dial is matt and it's got a white background with mirrored embossed Trinity symbol and luminous hour markers.
Knot of love:: The Trinity also meaning Love Knot is one of the main Celtic designs. The circles comprising the symbol represent three domains of ancient Celtic belief. One is the underworld for the past, the second is the earth world for the present and the last one denotes the sky world for the divine.
Mandred is Cornish by the origin. Cornish legends say that Mandred is the right name of God. And when it is pronounced, it draws the power to the one saying it.
One legend:: Boann is considered to be a goddess of the river Boyne. One version of the legend says she was a wife of the water god Nechtan. According to another legend, Boann was a wife of a local deity, whose name was Elcmar of the Bruigh.
Dagda is another supernatural creature who wanted to make love to Boann and decided to trick Elcmar into undertaking an errand. Though the errand seemed to Elcmar to be within his power, one day Dagda caused the sun not to move for about nine months. During that time Boann gave birth to Aengus Og, who is the Irish love god, in his turn.
Well story:: Another legend says Boann ignored a prohibition surrounding Connla's well on Nechtan's Hill in Kildare. It was just Nechtan and his cupbearers allowed going near the well. When Boann tried to circle the well, the waters rose up and haunted her until the goddess got drowned. That was the way the river was formed and called Boyne after the goddess Boann.
I hope you've liked the legend as well as the watches for I had my own experience with wedding gifts to help someone else to choose some good and interesting thing.

A ring on a little finger meant: "My heart is free but I'm not ready for marriage yet."
What a "rings language" means? The so-called language of rings appeared in ancient times and was almost unchanged till the beginning of XX century. With the help of a ring of classic shape (not necessarily gold or platinum one) but worn on a particular finger of the left hand it gave a lot of information to people about the ring's owner. They were the following:
Today everything that has remained from the "rings language" is a custom to wear an engagement ring on a fourth finger. But even this tradition differs depending on the country. In some countries (mainly in catholic ones) they wear it on the left hand but in many other countries on the ring finger of right hand.
There were a lot of traditions concerning rings and the rules of their wearing that were related to religion.
With time there were a strong belief among people in Ancient Greece that fourth finger of left hand had a strong connection with the heart. The right hand was power and the left one - heart.
But nowadays for example in Russia rings are inseparable from the right hand. There are even cases when people wear two rings at once - this is the case when one of spouses is dead.
Engagement and wedding rings are known in all times. For example ancient Romans presented their wives with rings stylized as a key. Probably it meant a key from their hearts?
Egyptians worn rings on a forth finger of left hand. And according to the legend existed they believed that namely there was a "love artery" from that finger that led straight to the heart. In many countries such as Great Britain and Italy they wear engagement rings on the left hand.
There's a beautiful legend that tells that it's necessary to wear rings after a wedding not taken them off. "If your ring will get cold - your love will also get cold". "If your ring will be lost - you will loose your love as well".
But of course it depends on a person to believe in all these things or not. As for me I must admit that the most important is the feeling that exists between two people but not rings they wear.
If a couple looses good feelings toward each other, any ring won't be able to help here. Love is a constant labor not just a pink-colored feeling and dreams. So don't forget to constantly make something positive for your loved one. Just go now and tell him/her: "You're special!"
Believe me the happiness in the eyes of your loved one is more expensive than rings even made of the most expensive materials!
| The History of Wedding Rings | Jan 09, 2007 |
There are a lot of different legends describing the appearance of wedding rings' tradition. Some people think that the tradition came from Ancient Egypt. Others think that it was started in Ancient Greece. Since those times people's life has changed a lot but wedding rings have still remained indispensable attributes of a wedding ceremony.
You know there were nations who tied a flower around a finger as a sign of love and faithfulness. But modern grooms and brides give preference to rings made of precious metals, mostly gold and platinum. But I think it's not so important what metal your rings are made of. The most important thing is your mutual feeling the rings symbolize. And they certainly should be liked by newly-weds.
How to choose wedding rings
According to the tradition namely a future husband should buy the rings. But this purchase is very important for a bride.
The ring is not just a piece of jewelry - it will become an incarnation of any girl's dream - happy marriage.
There is still one small question to resolve: how much money to spend on wedding rings? It's better to discuss with each other the price and design of your rings in advance. Your love is boundless but your real budget is not.
And it's not so important if you are not ready to spend an enormous sum of money to buy the most expensive rings. You shouldn't be upset about it. Despite the fact that a ring is the symbol of your love - it's impossible to measure your love by money.
But what finally to choose? Gold? Platinum? A piece made in a traditional classic shape or an original design?
The best suitable answer can be prompted to the bride and groom by their own taste. But don't forget one important thing - you buy your wedding rings for the whole your life! (I hope at least). That's the reason you shouldn't buy the first rings you've liked.
It's necessary to pay attention not just to the rings' color and style. You should try on the ring for several minutes and see whether you feel comfortable having it on your finger.
While choosing and buying wedding rings, a bride and a groom should know that as a rule they don't make rings from pure noble metals. There are a lot of alloys used to add to the rings the necessary color and properties. That is the reason you should pay attention to the label attached to the rings.
And one more thing to remember: never wear a ring that another person worn before. The single exception can be the wedding rings that are given to you by your parents. That is by right of succession.
| A Truly Royal Wedding Tiara for a Million | Dec 25, 2006 |
It might be taken as something scandalous but Princess Margaret jewelry items were sold off at the Christie's Auction. The British royals were appalled by the event that took place a few years after the princess' death.
Why this happened?
As we all know, Princess Margaret led not the most reasonable life. She did not care about the public opinion and she did not spend much time thinking of her legacy. Apparently her heirs had to pay a very big tax for receiving the mansion that was left to them.
Her children, viscount Linly and Lady Sarah Chatom, feel sorry about the things, but they just had to deal somehow with what was left after their mother's death. Some people who knew the Princess in person are sure that all that fuss around the auction would simply make her laugh.
What were the expectations?
The heirs were hoping for around 3 million pounds to pay the legacy tax, but received almost 10 million pounds (that is about 18, 5 million dollars). Every single thing went ten times the expectations. Due to that fact a part of the money was promised to go to charity.
What was sold?
Some of the most expensive things were sold at the auction:
- the watch Faberge, given to Margaret by her grandma, Queen Mary;
- a Cartier watch which she received on her twentieth birthday;
- a diamond necklace.
Among the jewelry there was a ring with rubies and diamonds designed by the majesty herself. It was sold for 300,000 pounds. The most amazing selling was a small golden brooch in form of a hedgehog. 5,760 pounds must be a definite record for such a small animal.
The oldest exhibit
The auction of things that belonged to a royal family's member would be strange without some true royal equivalent, like a crown. At the auction there was also sold the Princess's Wedding Tiara. It is more than one hundred years old, created in 1870. It was sold for about a million pounds.
How to keep you jewelry that sparkling
It is impossible for you not to wonder how princess or anybody can keep the jewelry so sparkling and simply beautiful for such a long time. In case of the royals, I guess they must have special maids to take care of their jewelry items. If you are not a member of a royal family, read very careful the following instructions:
- First of all try to avoid any contact of your jewelry with soap, perfume or cosmetics.
- Always take off all the jewelry at night. I guess in case of a tiara this is strictly necessary.
- Remember always to use a soft cloth for cleaning your precious things.
| Perfect Wedding Gift | Dec 18, 2006 |
There a lot of different interesting things displayed in the store-front or wherever else waiting for their customers. Variety of products is as large as you can imagine and even a little bit more. For you never know what is going to be your choice unless you have made it long time ago. However, even if you have done it already, nothing can guarantee you are going to be successful with it, unless… There are as many equivoques as characters, which means that picking up a gift especially for your wedding or engagement is a sort of lottery.
First think
Well, getting married you are taking a very decisive step, perhaps, you know it yourself. However, let me remind you that it is your way to get deprived of your independence once and forever. Yes, it is true. There are always a slave and a master in each sort of human relationship to a greater or lesser extent. It is equally unpleasant to be both, because in the first case one is turning into his own miserable image, representing a really pitiful sight over the time. And in the second case, one is a tyrant justifying him in the best of cases by the necessity and inevitability of his deeds - that is he (she) thinks: 'If it's not me, who else then?' and so on and so forth. This is a sad picture, indeed.
A good gift
However, there are happy exceptions met in each and every rule, which is two people are united by a sort of spiritual unity and both of them appreciate each other's qualities - the unite based upon mutual respect. If this is your case, then my congratulations! You need to save each other as carefully as you can.
And, of course, it is extremely important to present your half with a good gift. Remember, each time there is going to be your wedding anniversary celebrated, your dearest half will be involuntarily recollecting the very first day of your marriage, your wedding ceremony and, certainly, the wedding gift she got. And if it wasn't good enough, you just can not imagine all the consequences.
Not to make a mistake
I've decided to tell you about the wedding gift not because I was in the similar situation, yet a friend of mine had a very negative experience. He presented his wife with a gift, let's say, not of her dream. She expected something stylish, corresponding to her taste and got a great washing machine instead. Take into account the fact my friend was absolutely frank and followed considerations of love and care.
Not to make such a mistake, one should listen to the advices and make his own research into this field. I did it and here are the results of my inquiry.
After a long search I decided to fix upon a wristwatch. And you know what? The longer I was involved, the more I felt interested in that. No wonder, a watch appeared to be a great, unique and sophisticated piece of art!
Reverso Sertie Neige
The watch I'm going to tell you about is Reverso Sertie Neige by Jaeger-LeCoultre Company. Jaeger-LeCoultre is one of the oldest manufactures in the world, specialized on only highest quality timepieces production. The Company was established in the first half of the 19th century and since that time it deals only with its own movements distinguished by the extreme complexity and luxurious design. There are numerous watch complications used in the Jaeger-LeCoultre timepieces, however to appreciate its real value one needs to hold it in his hand, or speaking about a woman - in her hand.
Design
The design of this watch is exclusive and really delicate. Following the elite snow-setting method, the diamonds merge flawlessly into the case and appear to crystallize the very breath of the artist in a unique design. Due to the snow-setting technique, the smallest diamonds nestle snugly against each other, blending elegantly into the watch case.
Reverso Sertie Neige by Jaeger-LeCoultre is a jewelry-making mastery indeed. The watch masters of the Company managed to create a decoration with the diamonds that form a motif flowing over the case and dial.
The dial of Reverso Sertie Neige watch is a refined masterpiece. The mirror-polished dial decor extends the flow of the diamonds to guarantee that the motif hugs the curves of the watch with flawless elegance.
This timepiece, being a product of the watch Company with old traditions, provides its wearer with the guaranteed quality. It is enough just to take an attentive look at this timepiece to understand the level of care and commitment of the best watch masters of Switzerland.
I promise you, when your wife gets such a watch, she will be grateful to you for the both high class design and unique opportunity to make a show of her new impeccable toy and to cut a dash with this great watch before her female friends.
| How to Choose Jewels for a Bride? | Dec 11, 2006 |
Of course a bride can't manage without jewellery pieces. If you are a bride, you should remember that jewellery pieces are meant to accentuate the luxury and refinement of your wedding gown but not to be the main component of it.
Jewelry pieces should certainly be in match with the gown. If you choose jewelry items with diamonds to complete a modest strictly-styled dress, this combination will look at least ridiculous. The same can be said about an amazingly beautiful gown made of expensive fabrics in combination with cheap or even fake jewels or bijouterie. That's why if you choose a necklace, a bracelet or earrings, it's better to obey some rules:
A necklace should accentuate to advantage the cutting line of your wedding gown. If it has a décolleté, a necklace should be rather big. Small cutting can be accentuated by a refined jewel that is close to the neck. Remember that beads or a necklace should be refined and elegant. Too bulky jewellery pieces are not welcomed, and probably will spoil your look instead of accentuating and completing your image.
A necklace should be in match with earrings and a bracelet (if you want to embellish your hand with a bracelet.)
If a necklace is made of pearl, earrings also should be made of pearl. Earrings made of oblong pearls in drop shape look very beautiful. Don't put on massive hanging earrings - they can spoil the impression even if your apparel is very refined.
Very small diamond earrings that remind of dew drops look really cute. But such earrings are worth wearing if you have diamonds somewhere else as well.
A small diamond should be on your wedding ring or a pendant on a thin chain you put on instead of a necklace.
But never put on too many diamonds from top to toe - to avoid sparkling as a Christmas tree.
Temperance, modesty and refinement are the main principles when you choose jewels for your wedding gown.
The same can be said about a bracelet. It can be small and have the same design as the necklace and earrings. Don't put on a bracelet if your wedding gown is with long sleeves or if you put on gloves. As for a watch, it's an element that a bride shouldn't wear. Even if it's an amazingly beautiful golden watch set with diamonds.
Small but beautiful stones are great for any woman. Pearl is considered to be an ideal variant. Pearl can be even pinkish not obligatory white. In case you choose pinkish pearl, its color should be taken into account when you choose make-up, decorations for hair and flowers for a bouquet.
Instead of pearls or diamonds, jewels can be made of mountain crystal that also greatly accentuates a traditional wedding gown.
If you decide to choose not a traditional white wedding dress, but the one of another color, moderation and good taste will help you out. Colorful precious stones should be used carefully.
You can use bijouterie. If it is a bijouterie of high quality, very beautiful and refined, it will look as great as a marvelous and very expensive jewel. Modest but very beautiful bijouterie will accentuate your wedding gown.
